The Traveling Exhibit of Legionary Armor was just in town last week. Silvano Mattesini is the owner and operator of this fine exhibit. He is a historian and an architect and finds many of the pieces for his exhibit himself. Some of his pieces include Roman soldier armors and gladiator armors. Bronze and iron items have both been located by this man. Unfortunately the iron pieces do not hold up as well as the bronze pieces. The restoration of all of the pieces is done personally by Silvano.
Silvano’s job sounds absolutely fantastic. The person wanting this job would however need to have a passion for history. He or she would also need to have training to find and restore these fantastic historical pieces. Capital would also be needed so that digging and renovation equipment could be purchased.
The daily operation of the traveling exhibit could be funded by charging visitors for each viewing. Advertising could be done through Facebook and other online medias. You could even create your own website to list the location of your constantly moving exhibit.
Although it would be very fun to do a job like this, it seems like it would be much easier to get some Roman armor replicas to put on display. Replicas can look just as great as the real thing, but much less costly. In fact many people have large displays within their own houses. Entire rooms are sometimes devoted to the display of various medieval items.
These can be displayed using display cases, shelves, and even full size models. Using all 3 methods is a great way to make a visually appealing display. You’ll find some fantastic looking armors at http://www.historicalclothingrealm.com.
The widest variety of armors can be found in Internet stores. You’ll save time and cash not having to visit some specialty brick and mortar store. Wouldn’t it be great to have a few armors displayed in your home or office?
With a few years of collecting you could have a large collection to be proud of. If the collection gets big enough you might want to make your own traveling exhibit. You’ll find that many people want to see large collections like this and you will get plenty of attention. Whatever you decide to do, I’m sure you’ll agree that Roman armor is for everybody.
